The clean, glossy look
Acrylic is a rigid, clear or coloured plastic that shows crisp printing and takes cutting, engraving and polishing. It is the standard material for reception signs, name boards, price lists and directory panels.
Thickness
3 mm is light for small wall signs. 5 mm gives a sturdier feel for medium signs. 10 mm has weight and edge thickness that suits premium logos and standing signs.
Mounting
Wall mounted signs sit flat and are fixed with adhesive or screws. Standoffs hold the acrylic slightly away from the wall for a modern floating effect. Free-standing signs sit on a base for counters and floors.
Finishing
Printed acrylic can show full-colour images. Cut and etched acrylic uses shapes and frosted engraving for a more refined look.
