200gsm is good for large volumes at graduation or training days. 250gsm is a step up for awards. 300gsm feels substantial. A gold foil border adds a formal look and is common for excellence awards, though foil needs a separate stage and so affects turnaround.
Names and signatures
If each certificate has a different name, send the list in a spreadsheet and check spelling carefully; typos are costly on a certificate. Leave clear space for signatures and stamps, and consider a rubber stamp for the organisation's seal.
