Tickets have to be hard to fake
Numbering is the main defence against duplicates. Keep a list of numbers sold and check them at the gate. For high-risk events, a design element that is difficult to copy, such as a foil or a unique pattern, adds a layer of confidence.
Stubs and perforation
A perforated tear-off stub lets staff keep half at entry. Coupons for restaurants or promotions often include a stub for redemption records.
Size and paper
A7 is small and cheap for raffle tickets. DL and A6 suit event entry with room for the venue, date, time and terms. 200gsm is stiff enough for handling; 250gsm feels premium.
Information to include
Event name, date, time, venue, price or ticket type, a serial number, and a short terms line. Add a QR code if you scan at the door and have a system to read it.
